Having served in the United States Marines Corps for over 20 years, Tomina retired as a Master Sergeant, with numerous commendations for her outstanding service. She is a highly decorated combat veteran who has faced many challenges and obstacles, both on and off the battlefield. As the wife of a fellow Marine veteran and mother of two, she has overcome much in her personal life as well.
Tomina's passion lies in empowering others to be resilient and discover their inner greatness. She has coached and counseled thousands of Marines on their careers, helping them to achieve personal and professional growth. Through her one-on-one coaching, group coaching, and challenges, she has helped many individuals reach their full potential and lead more fulfilling and successful lives.
One of Tomina's most significant accomplishments is the creation of the Black Therapy App, a platform aimed at reducing the stigma around mental health in the Black community. The app creates a space for open dialogue between the community and licensed therapists, making therapy more accessible and acceptable. Tomina believes that everyone has the potential to excel in all aspects of life by turning challenges into opportunities for growth and learning.
Yet even heroes have the right to bleed. Despite her many triumphs, Tomina has faced her share of battles. Growing up, she grappled with a deep-seated fear of the unknown, which originated from the uncertainty surrounding her father's absence from her life. This fear has persisted throughout her personal and professional journey, making its presence felt in her relationships, career, business, and even her role as a mother.
The weight of her past has undoubtedly impacted Tomina in ways that are not always visible to the outside world. She has been forced to confront her fears head-on and work through them in order to achieve her goals and realize her full potential. However, Tomina has not allowed her fears to define her. Instead, she has found the courage to face them with an unwavering determination to overcome them.
Undergoing the Mental and Emotional release process, Tomina has been able to let go of her fear of the unknown. She recognizes that life is full of uncertainty and that it is impossible to predict what lies around the corner. But instead of succumbing to the fear that threatens to hold her back, Tomina has chosen to rise above it.
Through this process, Tomina learned that her fear of the unknown was not something to be ashamed of but rather an opportunity for growth and development. She embraced her challenges with a newfound courage and determination, recognizing that even the strongest individuals can have moments of weakness.
Tomina believes that it is through our struggles that we can learn the most about ourselves and our capabilities. Her experiences have taught her the importance of resilience, self-awareness, and the ability to face adversity with grace and determination. Now, she uses these lessons to empower others to overcome their own fears and challenges, helping them to realize their potential and achieve their goals.
